Sultan Alizada holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Stratford University, Falls Church, Virginia. He is a developed professional with over 15 years of experience in financial management, accounting, and taxes, and brings a broad knowledge of accounting and tax rules and regulations. He graduated from the Economics Faculty of Kabul University in 2005, then he started his professional career at the Afghanistan Revenue Department (ARD) in September 2005. From 2005 to 2014, he worked as a Tax Officer and Tax Compliance Manager at ARD. In these roles, he developed tax procedures and guidelines, conducted over 100 seminars to improve tax law awareness, administered tax compliance, provided advice to tax officers, and assessed tax liabilities of medium-sized taxpayers. From 2008 to 2014, he also managed a local tax consultancy company in Kabul, Afghanistan, where he helped various international and local organizations with advising and consulting on Afghanistan taxes. From 2015 to 2019, he worked as a part-time Tax Consultant with Emerging Consulting LLC, where he advised and assisted clients with bookkeeping and accounting solutions. During this time, he also worked with Key Bank, Wells Fargo Bank, and PenFed Credit Union. Since 2020, he has been working as a Managing Partner with NAS Advisors LLC, an accounting firm based in Virginia, which serves the community, businesses, and organizations with tax and accounting services. He got his Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in June 2023.
